??MEET KEMI?? Hey everyone! My name is Kemi and I’m the other fro of @thefrolife. I’m a 2nd year college student majoring in Computer Science and planning to specialize in Bioinformatics. Being a black woman in CS can be challenging but my ultimate goal is to increase the representation of black women in the tech industry. If I can inspire at least one little black girl or boy to pursue a career in STEM then all the challenges I’ve faced will be worthwhile. In my free time I’m usually playing with my hair, watching YouTube videos, or listening to music. I’m always trying to learn something new or figure out new hairstyles and I hope to share that with you all on this page. My hair was relaxed from a young age and I decided to transition for one year during my sophomore year of high school. I’ve been natural for almost 4 years now and my hair has been through it. But despite all the setbacks, bad hair days, and failed styles, I wouldn’t give up my natural hair for anything. I’m so grateful for all the love and support that we have received and I can’t wait to share more of my natural hair journey with y’all!
