Elevated Hair Accessories to Wear Right Now

February 26, 2019

1 Min read

Hair accessories have had a maximalist makeover recently. Our beloved barrettes and scrunchies have graduated from freshman to senior without a second thought. From Justine Marjan’s diamante hair pins that are the statement tee of hair accessories to thick headbands you never thought could look anything but preppy, there have never been more ways to adorn your hair.

Barrettes

Instagram has gone completely clip crazy as of late. Stacking barrettes, clips, and bobby pins has become the 2019 equivalent of 2000s era arm candy.

Scrunchies

Scrunchies are practical and pretty. They’re soft enough that they won’t damage or leave unwanted kinks in your hair, but they also come in a ton of colors, patterns, and even textures to make them trendy.

Hair Pins

Hair pins have become structural works of art that are primarily meant to make a statement rather than solely hold up your hair.

Headbands

Styling headbands can be tricky, but push it back and leave out a few, face-framing pieces and you’ll have just the right amount of Blair Waldorf flair, with an eclectic twist. We love these kerchief-inspired ones.

Don’t be afraid of a good hair bow moment. Depending on how you style it, it’ll skew more chic than childish.

Hair Claws

Arguably the easiest accessory to style with, hair claws are versatile and can aid in achieving sleek or casual looks.
