Originating from the region between northwestern Myanmar, Bangladesh, and India, mangoes aren’t just a delicious fruit — its leaves have also been used in healing practices like Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years.

Where It’s Sourced

We source mango leaves from Burkina Faso, collected in close collaboration with a women-led volunteer initiative in the Koro Village. This initiative offers employment to women who help manage the harvest of leaves. To preserve biodiversity and avoid any disruption of the trees’ natural cycle, the harvest is done after the fruiting period and the wet season. In fact, a maximum of 10% of leaves is collected per tree, and the crop is done carefully and manually, only at eye level. These women then select the leaves and collect the extract after the leaves dry and undergo a gentle maceration process. This harvest and collection process helps to improve the daily lives of these workers, offering continuous development for the Koro Village. The association organizes a 100% traceable harvest, and manages every step in the mango leaf production process.

THE BEHIND-THE-SCENES SCIENCE: HELPS MATTIFY AND MINIMIZE BLEMISHES

Our Mango Leaf Extract has been extensively tested in clinical studies, and has been shown effective in balancing excessive sebum for all skin ethnicities.
