    Background check

When did you start getting interested in content creation? Have you always been a creative person?

I’ve been making short films ever since I was a kid! I would make my family videos for Christmas. I loved editing on Windows Movie Maker. I joined my high school TV club and eventually got a Bachelor’s degree in film! If I’m not creating, whether that be filmmaking, screenprinting, or even building vintage motorcycles, I’m not happy.

What message are you trying to relay to your audience through the content on your channels?

I just want to make a space where people can feel free to be themselves—feel comfy in their own skin. Too much of my life was spent thinking I didn’t belong anywhere. I want to remind people they can be 100% unapologetically themselves wherever and whenever they want. Life is too short to spend it worrying about what others think of you.

    Think fast

Who makes you feel most yourself?

Hands down my girlfriend, she’s my best friend and very likely knows me better than I know myself.

What is something you can’t live without doing every day?

Smoking cannabis for sure. I was on heavy ADHD medication in high school which ultimately messed with my appetite. Cannabis has helped me eat well again and always gets my creative juices flowing. Also working out! It took me months of forcing myself to go everyday but aIm finally addicted to the adrenaline

When do you feel the most challenged?

I feel most challenged any time I’m working with a low budget—which is my favorite way to work. Whether I’m designing/creating merchandise or producing a film, working to find affordable solutions to realize creative ideas always pumps my blood.

    @vas.hal

Where do you feel most at home?

I feel most at home when I am back at my home village in Attali, Greece. I spent the most incredible years of my childhood in those mountains and pulling into that airport always gives me goosebumps.

Why do you do what you do, professionally speaking?

Because I love it. Filmmaking of all types makes me so happy. I didn’t have too many videos or photos of myself from my childhood, so It was hard for me to remember a lot of beautiful memories. I became obsessed with capturing the world around me. Then I realized I could tell my own stories with filmmaking. I could reach out to people all over the world. I could make a difference for someone in a matter of sixty seconds. Filmmaking is a crazy powerful weapon with unlimited uses. We’re only getting started.

    Hairy details

What’s your hair routine like? Are you a minimalist or maximalist when it comes to your strands?

I’ve always worn my hair natural. I very rarely use any products other than shampoo and conditioner. It took a LOT of haircuts to finally find one that suited me the best without constantly trying to fight my curls. The less I do to my hair when I wake up in the morning the absolute better. Sometimes the bed head is TOO wild so I’ll throw in a curl cream to calm it all down a bit.

Do you have any beauty hacks that you think people should know about?

Sometimes curly hair just needs a good thinning when it feels like it’s too big or isn’t listening to you. When thinning your curls don’t let ANYONE come near you with thinning shears—it TEARS up your hair, ultimately making it frizzier. Make sure they use scissors to taper/thin each curl individually. This will really help bring the volume down while defining each curl!
