The pull-through braid is made up entirely of a series of ponytails intertwined together with elastics. To finish, you simply pull on every section to create a chunky and voluminous braid. Keep reading for a step-by-step tutorial on how you can achieve a French Pull-Through braid on your own! To complete this braid you will need: Pro Tip: This hairstyle is best achieved on second day hair as it won’t be as loose making it easier to work with. If your hair is clean, try adding texturizing products to your roots and strands.

    Step 1:

Place your thumbs at the top of your temples, slide them together towards the back center of your head and place elastic. Take that ponytail and clip it up and out of the way.

    Step 2:

Gather another section of hair right below the first and tie with the elastic.

    Step 3:

Unclip the first ponytail and separate into two pieces (do not remove elastic) and bring them down and around the ponytail underneath. Take the 2nd ponytail from underneath, clip it on top of the head and create a new ponytail with the two pieces underneath the clipped up pony. Tie with elastic.

    Step 4:

Repeat steps one through three all the way down the length of your hair. Pro Tip: Once you reach the end leave a section of hair loose to hide the elastic!

    Step 5:

Once all sections are in elastics, hold the braid at the bottom and start from the very last section and gently tug each side of the section to create fullness. Follow the same technique all the way up. Pro Tip: Don’t pull each side of the section together; pull each side separately for more volume and control.
