How do I use it?
The way you apply custom Styling Gel really depends on your hair and desired results.
For volume: We recommend applying Custom Styling Gel to soaking wet hair and glaze the product onto curls. Then, scrunch and blow dry using a diffuser. For added volume, fluff up your roots with a hair pick.
For elongation: Apply Custom Styling Gel using the ‘prayer hands’ method to glide on the product and stretch out the curls. Then air-dry or use a diffuser but make sure not to scrunch!
For reduced frizz: Try glazing your custom Styling Gel onto your curls and then use a microfiber towel or t-shirt to plop. After plopping for 30 minutes to an hour, you can diffuse on a low speed or use a hooded dryer.
For definition: If you’re looking for definition, you can apply your Custom Styling Gel using a Denman brush, raking the product through your curls, or scrunching. You can also finger coil pieces around your face for extra definition. Then, air-dry and you’re good to go!
If you’re looking for multiple benefits (like most of us are!), make sure to mix and experiment with different application methods and techniques. Styling Gel also pairs great with some of our other all-star stylers including Leave-In Conditioner, Curl Cream, and Hair Oil!
