Can we just give a collective “Amen” for all the hair salons across the country that have finally opened their doors after months of lockdown? While a new cut and color might not have been on the books for the last six months, salons are reopening their doors across the country, and many of us are ready to get back into the chair. If you’re not comfortable with heading back to see your stylist just yet, that’s okay too—many of the below 2020 hair trends for fall/winter can be done in your own bathroom.
Heatless texture
It’s time to put those hot tools back into hibernation this season because heatless texture is everywhere. Models and celebs are embracing their natural texture while spending lots of time at home, and we’re here for the look. Of course, this style really depends on your hair type, but if you’re looking to amp up your hair texture, try styling damp hair with our curl cream or leave-in conditioner, or our dry shampoo on dry hair for added volume.
Rich chocolate brown
Come join the dark side this season with a rich chocolate brown shade. To add a little dimension, ask your stylist to incorporate lighter brown highlights for added texture and movement.
Blunt bob
Giving the lob a run for its money, the blunt bob is the latest cut all over the ‘gram, and for good reason: it’s super chic, pretty easy to maintain, and effortlessly cool. For some added shine and to fight frizz, try adding a few drops of our hair oil from mid-shaft to the ends.
Deep side part
Although the 60s revival did bring back the middle part for a hot minute, the deep side part is making a comeback and will be around all season long. You’ll be amazed by how much a side part can change up your look—no color, cut or salon visit required.
Curtain bangs
Okay, so maybe the 60s trend hasn’t completely disappeared—you’ll find many celebrities and models rocking the sexy, Bridgette Bardot-inspired curtain bangs this fall. Curtain bangs can come in all lengths and are an easy way to mix up your look without making the commitment to a big chop.
Copper red hair
You may not be a natural redhead, but that doesn’t mean you can’t fake it till you make it. Copper red hair is on fire for the fall, and you’ll continue to see this shade everywhere until the end of winter, too. If you aren’t a natural redhead (or just got a shade boost for your ginger hue), it’s always important to do everything you can to preserve your color, including avoiding heat tools when possible and using color-safe shampoo and conditioner.
