December 2, 2021

2 Min read

It’s time. Time to finally swap your slip dresses for knit dresses and pack away your bathing suits. For many, there’s an essence of denial when it comes to the dawning of true winter time, but the first step to get you through to acceptance is gratitude! Think of all the amazing winter activities that are on their way. The first snow, hot baths, baking, and literally never leaving the house. Oh, yeah – and another excuse to switch up your hair! Right now, everyone’s running to the salon to keep their look as updated as the new chilly weather. Whether you’re looking for something edgy to match the moody winter skies, to chop it all off, or grow it out, these winter haircuts trends have a little bit of something for everyone this season.

Pixie cut

One way to deal with dry and static winter hair? Chop it all off! The pixie cut is a long cherished style that instantly elongates your neck and makes your facial features pop! Rocked by some of history’s chicest ladies, Audrey Hepburn among them, the pixie cut is a bold but highly rewarding winter haircut choice. Just don’t forget your ear muffs.

Long mullet

If a regular mullet and long shag had a baby, it would be the long mullet. It’s an all-star solution for those with chop-it-all-off phobia, that still gives you ample mullet cool points. It’s the latest iteration of this ‘80s style revival and it’s arrived just in time for winter.

‘70s shag

From the wolf cut to the curtain bang, ‘70s inspired layers dominated hairstyle trends in 2021. This winter, 70’s layers are about curating a personalized version that suits your style best. Some key points to hit though: wispy layers that move away from your face texture and volume!

Blunt lob

Short for “long bob” the lob is one of the most elegant and simple styles out there. While feathered out and asymmetrical bobs have stolen our hearts in past years, this winter’s trend forecast is a blunt edge. The result is an extra clean look that highlights your collarbone and accentuates your jaw line. You look put together in any outfit, even a hoodie!

Long layers

Classic and luxurious, long layered hair is your first step to achieving winter ice princess realness. A white fur jacket and moon boots are optional, but don’t forget to sleek up your ends with a (custom) nourishing conditioner to keep your locks strong and shining,
